What's Anime Brightstar?

Anime Brightstar is our daytime and family-friendly programming that's geared towards all ages, whether it's on the Main Stage or panels.

...So Anime Blackout is...?

Anime Blackout is our programming geared towards adult audiences. Anime Blackout takes place later during the day of the convention, and includes our After Party!

Where will Anime Brightstar/Blackout take place?

This event will be held at the John Lewis Center at Macomb Community College. The entire event last from Noon to 10pm!

Is cosplay allowed even if you’re not competing?

Absolutely! We encourage all cosplayers to come and show off their costume and have a great time at the event.

Is there a limit to cosplay?

Since this is a family-friendly even, please minimize overly lewd outfits by making sure you have full coverage of the buttocks, genitalia, breasts (no side boob) and nipples (yes, even for men). Additionally, there are to be no sharp or dangerous weapons.

We reserve all rights to deem your cosplay inappropriate or in violations of our rules. You may be given the opportunity to change or store away violating props, however staff reserves the right to escort you from the event.
